About ear pinning (otoplasty)
Ear pinning (otoplasty) is a surgical procedure performed to “tuck” back protruding ears. By manipulating the skin and/or cartilage behind the ears, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon at 63 Skin Clinic can more appropriately align the ears with the side of the head.
Ears which stick prominently outward from the side of the head can cause overwhelming emotional stress and self consciousness, especially in children. Often due to heredity, protruding ears are a result of insufficient folding inside the outer rim of the ear, excessive cartilage along the back of the ear where it connects to the head or a combination of the two. Otoplasty will not improve hearing problems, change the size of the ears or make ears perfectly symmetrical.
Otoplasty is one of very few cosmetic procedures that can be safely performed early in life. It can be done as early as age five or six, when the ears reach full development. Children often become aware of their protruding ears when subjected to teasing at school. Just as orthodontic treatment is commonly sought to correct poor teeth alignment, so should otoplasty be sought to improve poor ear positioning.

About chin augmentation (implants)
Chin augmentation is a surgical procedure done to create a chin and jaw line that are more pronounced and in better harmony with other facial features using an implant. This procedure will not correct poor teeth alignment or improve the jaw’s basic shape or shape. However, chin augmentation can enhance both the projection of the chin and the angle between the neck and jaw for a dramatically more youthful, well balanced facial appearance.
A small chin can have a large impact on the entire face. It can make the nose look large. An overbite can appear more pronounced. A backward-slanting forehead can be more accentuated. Excess fat or skin in the neck can draw more attention. Psychologically, a receding chin can register with another individual as a sign of weakness.
Chin augmentation can be safely performed on an individual as young as 17 or l8. It may make a modest improvement in the way one looks from the front. Like cosmetic nose surgery, chin augmentation is primarily intended to enhance the profile. Ideally, the chin should extend the same distance as the lower lip. This means, that if hold your index finger vertically against your lower lip, your finger will also touch your chin.

About jawline sculpting
The procedure is done by Vaser Lipo for skin tightening. The procedure is about 20 min under local anesthesia. It takes about a month to see your final result. We ask you to wear a compression bandage around your face and neck for two weeks and then you can continue wearing it for another week just at night.

About Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)
Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) is a surgical procedure to remove excess fat, skin and muscle from the upper and/or lower eyelids. This procedure will not erase dark circles or remove “crow’s feet” or other wrinkles from around the eyes. Nor will it lift sagging eyebrows or reshape eye structure to enhance symmetry. However, blepharoplasty can give you a noticeably healthier, more rested, wider eyed and more youthful appearance, while enhancing your self image.
Out of all facial features, the eyes have the most dramatic impact on appearance. Unfortunately, they are often the first to show signs of aging. Heredity, sun and other environmental issues, skin thickness and the limited number of oil glands around the eyes can eventually cause the upper eyelids to droop and puffy bags to form below the eyes. Consequently, you can look tired, sad and years older than you really are or feel.
Your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon at 63 Laser & Skin Clinic will be happy to discuss everything about eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) with you during a free consultation. Call for an appointment today.
About Fat Transfer
We all admire the appearance of youthful skin. It is smooth, naturally moisturized and highly elastic. As we age, factors like gravity, sun exposure, daily facial contractions and changes in body chemistry all contribute to breaking down the skin’s healthy support system. The end result is wrinkles, frown lines and other facial skin imperfections.
Younger looking skin can result from fat transfer. It is a surgical procedure in which one’s own fat is removed from one area and inserted into another. It is ideally suited for plumping up skin folds and creases along the sides of the nose (“smile lines”). It is often used to erasing wrinkles at the corners of the mouth (“marionette lines”). Fat transfer can smooth foreheads. It is especially effective in adding fullness and shape to lips.
Fat transfer is a less risky, more predictable and longer lasting alternative to collagen. Though repeat surgery is usually necessary to maintain full results, highly safe fat transfer can give you smoother, younger looking skin for years to come.

About Forehead and Brow Lift
Forehead lift surgery, also known as coronal, brow lift and upper facelift surgery, is done to lift low, sagging eyebrows and smooth deep, permanent creases across the forehead and between the eyes.
When you think about it, virtually every facial expression seems to involve the forehead. As we age, the constant stretching and contracting of muscles, combined with other factors like sun exposure, nutrition and heredity, can lead to permanent creases across the forehead, deep vertical lines between and eyes and drooping eyebrows. The result can make one look continually sad, tired or angry.
Typically performed on men and women in the 40s to 60s, forehead lift surgery technique is determined by a number of factors. These include forehead and hairline condition, whether or not upper eyelid surgery has been done and resulted desired. Forehead lift surgery can dramatically accentuate the eyes and restore an overall happier, more youthful and well rested appearance.

About nose surgery (rhinoplasty)
Nose surgery (rhinoplasty) is one of the most commonly performed cosmetic procedures. During this surgery, the bony portion of the nose is reshaped to achieve a better balance with other facial features. Typically performed for cosmetic reasons, rhinoplasty may involve shortening, narrowing or straightening of the nasal bone; minimization of a hump on the nose bridge; improvement in the angle of the nose and upper lip; narrowing of the nostrils; or changes to the tip of the nose.
Rhinoplasty is best performed once the nose is fully developed. In females, this is around age 16 or 17. In males, this is around age 17 or 18. In some cases, like significant deformity due to injury, surgery may be justified at an earlier age. The best candidates for rhinoplasty are individuals looking for improvement rather than perfection in the way they look. If you are physically healthy, psychologically stable and have realistic expectations, you may be a good candidate.Septoplasty (repair of a deviated septum) and turbinectomy (full or partial removal of nasal passage filters which have become enlarge and interfere with normal breathing) are medical procedures which are often covered by insurance and performed at the same time as rhinoplasty.
Your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon at 63 Laser & Skin Clinic will thoroughly discuss all the details of rhinoplasty with you during a free consultation. Make an appointment today.
